Bearded dragon has a lump on rectrum?

i noticed 4 days ago that my female beared dragon had a lump that looked like dried blood around the rectrum, 2 days later there is a soft light red lump that is squishy just in front. Shes still eating normally, very active and pooing. i have been cleaning it.
Anyone know what this could be, i dont know of any reptile vets around me, ill probably just take her to a normal vet on the weekend if she doesnt get better.

Like all animals, beardies can get tumors, or have a partial prolapse. Either could explain bleeding and abnormal tissue. Often they try (and sometimes succeed) in eating things they should not; years ago I rescued a dragon who was near death from eating wood shavings (which he ate in desperation for veggies that his previous owner thought unnecessary); I have seen them try to eat rocks and other un-digestible matter as well, and if that is the case with yours, she could be prolapsing in an effort to expell something she should not have consumed. You could try giving her a small amount of mineral oil to help in the passage, but any prolapse or bleeding needs medical attention a.s.a.p.! The fact that she is very active could mean she is in pain, please do not delay seeing a vet…you might explain the situation to your regular vet, see if he can consult a book or colleague to help her. (Many years ago when my first snake got sick, my sympathetic vet opened a book and we took the best shot as a team. But yours may also be able to consult another by phone…don’t be afraid to ask.)
