I NEED HELP WITH MY HUMIDITY LEVELS IN MY BEARDED DRAGONS TANK?
We just got a new tank it 4ft long, 2ft wide. we can’t get the humidity levels right. they are ok during the day but at night time the humidity levels jump up to 50. Is there anything i can do to lower the humidity at night without really raising the temp. to high????
If you have a water dish in the enclosure you can remove it to lower the humidity significantly, just make sure to give him a bath a few times a week to keep him hydrated. At night time the dragon needs a cooling off period as well as complete darkness. As long as the temp does not drop below 60- 65ºF no heat should be added to the enclosure. If temps do drop below 60-65ºF then a heat mat mounted to the side wall of the enclosure or a ceramic heat emitter can be used to raise the temps. Night glow or red lights should be avoided for night time heat.
