I “want” to get a bearded dragon or leopard gecko?
as said i want to get bearded dragon or leopard gecko but firstly
bearded dragon: what light do i need for basking and heat requirement and let alone UVB lighting should i just put a 60 watt compact bulb within the whole tank? and yes i know i should put a hide in the cold side right? heh if i only knew all the stuff to get for them and how to set it p that would so badly and critically help me!!!!!
leopard gecko: as i heard from the internet and youtube ppl these are really easy and all you need is a 10 gallon tank, dust some crickets, water, and a basking spot? HELP though tell me all the stuff you got or whatever to help these animals live cause i want a healthy reptile of course not to mention if i get a leopard gecko what can i feed leopard geckos till crickets arrive at my doorstep?
Both are very good starter reptiles are are very friendly. I personally have a leopard gecko because the Petsmart I work at had him for about a year. He was also very friendly and liked to sit on my shoulder. Leopard geckos don’t need the UVA/UVB lighting like a bearded dragon does. They also eat only crickets and bugs not veggies that the bearded dragon does. Leopard geckos will also be cheaper in the long run. Bearded dragons need veggies, and lights and crickets. Not to mention bearded dragons need a much larger tank then a leopard gecko needs. A leopard gecko can live in a 10 gallon but 20 is best. A bearded dragon needs a 55 gallon tank. Leopard geckos don’t grow as big as a bearded dragon.
You should do some more research on both of them and see what will fit your lifestyle better and your space.
