How Do I Make My Bearded Dragon Happier?

He’s always in a bad mood. I’ll feed him everyday and after wards try to pick him up but he puffs up at me. I pick him up anyways. Yesterday I tried picking him up and he bit me. I’m just wondering how to make him a happier bearded dragon? I cant pick him up anymore he is fully puffed up at me with his mouth wide open and everything. I should have named him Grumpy lol. Any ways to do activities with him that he enjoys? Is it that he doesn’t like his layout in his tank? PLEASE HELP!!
-side note:
He has trees in his tank where he spends the majority of his time. Hiding. Should i take them out and make his tank plain with a food, water dish and maybe a log? Best answer = 10 pts.

Bearded dragons are known for being extremely social and loving. Sorry to tell you, but they’re one of the most loving reptiles known, ya know. lol
He or she is only around a month and a half old.

i’m gonna say its coz he is so young and not used to being handled yet.
if he is that young then the bites wont hurt and you should just grin and bare it, show him who’s boss!

if you get him out or pet him gently every day he will eventually get nice and you will have an awsome pet!

(it worked with a bosc monitor so it has to for a beardy, right?)
