hi i just bought a bearded dragon on friday off a complete idiot that didnt have a clue i have done all my research and he is now doing alot better he is a year old and very small but will not eat any veg or fruit the bloke i got hiim off said he never bothered giving it to him and told me he dont like crickets and just threw in a hanful of meal worms from time to time he is however now eating locust but only bout 4 or 5 a day although he is in the middle of a shed and how often do they poop i have 2 cornsnakes 1 is 4 ft long the other a baby and no they can go months withhout pooping but am keeping a close eye on my beardie any advice will be greatly received as i want to make his life better so he can be happy he is veeeery freindly too

He is a year, so this means he is an adult. He should be eating more greens, but if he doesn’t know what they are you may have some trouble. Go to http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html and make note of what he can have. Try different things and be sure to cut it up so it will be easier for him to eat.
They sometimes do not eat well if they do not have the correct temps, or do not have a uvb available. For an adult, the temps should be 90-100 on the hot side and 80-90 on the cool. A uvb light should be 6-8 inches away from them and should be available 10-12 hours a day.
If you try a few things and he still isn’t interested in eating than you may need to ake him to the vet, be sure it is a vet who knows about reptiles.
Mine is about 2 years old and she poos about once a week. Although she is going through brumation so she is eating a bit less, which means she poos a bit less.
