thinking of getting some for my bearded dragon but im scared of them, i think i would be OK if they never ran up the plastic tub thingy UUUUUUGGGGGHHH!!!
They can’t climb but they can jump and hover for a fraction of a second so make sure the tub you are keeping them in is tall or at least well sealed up.
My bearded dragon Draik just died 5 days ago and i’m still not over it. I feel like it’s my fault he’s gone even though we think he died of constipation and he showed no symptoms of it until the day before he passed. I cry every time i think of him or a new beardie, or if i see his empty tank.
The pain is killing me. I still love him so much, but i don’t want to go on like this forever.
I recently took my 5 year old female bearded dragon to the vet because I noticed over the weekend, her tummy got a little bit swollen. I thought it might have been impaction, so the vet took an x-ray and fecal exam. She found some worm eggs in her feces and the xray showed she had some impaction, but not enough to kill her. She gave her dewormer and said with 4 more treatments, she should be a-ok. 9 hours following the medication, she passed away =’( If it couldn’t have been impaction, is there such a thing as a bearded dragon having a bad reaction to dewormer medication? It’s really bothering me that I don’t know why she died … =( I asked the vet, and she didn’t know either…
